The general classifications of the Cornwall Masonic Charitable Foundation (CMCF) are to help general charitable purposes, education/training, the advancement of health or saving of lives, disability and the prevention or relief of poverty by supporting children/young people, elderly/old people, people with disabilities, other charities or voluntary bodies and the general public/mankind.

The CMCF also supports the ‘Teddies for Loving Care’ scheme, providing teddies for young children in Cornish Hospitals, the Children’s Hospice and ‘Lifelites’ formerly part of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys. Lifelites enables children and young people with life-limiting, life threatening and disabling conditions, to learn, communicate, and be creative through the provision of assistive and inclusive technologies. The CMCF supports Lifelites ongoing work at Little Harbour Children’s Hospice.

At the annual meeting of Trustees in January, a number of grants are made to non-Masonic charities working within Cornwall.  Any brother who wishes to nominate a charity for consideration by the Trustees should forward details to the Provincial Grand Charity Steward by the 30th November preceding the annual meeting.

Any urgent request or requests where our objects preclude us from offering assistance or it is felt that local lodges may be able to better support, are distributed either to individual lodges or to all Lodges within the Province.

All groups who are awarded Grants are invited to the Annual Charity Giving Day to receive their award.  The list of all Grants is shown within the annual accounts and is available upon request from the Provincial Office, from a Lodge Charity Steward.

Donations

Donations from individual Brethren and Lodges in support of these activities should be made payable to the “Cornwall Masonic Charitable Foundation".
