2019 was the centenary year of the 11th Falmouth Parish Church Guide unit, which is believed to be the oldest guide unit in Cornwall.
Throughout the year, they marked this special year by undertaking a number of activities with the current members of the unit, which included a Centenary camp at Condurro, the Guiding County campsite near Truro.
The highlight of the year was a centenary party which was held 100 years to the day of the first meeting, when 45 current and past members and leaders of the unit attended along with the current county commissioners.
Together the attendees ate lunch, reminisced, laughed at all of the old photos and sang campfire songs.
These events would not have taken place without the kind generosity of the local freemasons namely St Budoc’s, Love and Honour, Colville Smith and the Original Pendennis Lodge, Ladies Group.
The current leaders would like to thank all those that attended and to all those that financially enabled the events and activities to take place
