On Saturday, February 15th, Trevaunance Royal Arch Chapter continued its long-standing tradition of supporting local and deserving charities by making a generous donation to Cornwall Search Dogs. A cheque for £200 was presented to the charity in recognition of its invaluable work.

Cornwall Search Dogs is dedicated to preserving and protecting lives through its specialist emergency search service. The charity provides highly trained dogs and volunteer handlers to assist emergency and voluntary rescue services in locating missing persons across Cornwall. Additionally, they work to prevent the unnecessary suffering of animals by searching for lost dogs.

Founded in 2020 by five experienced individuals, the charity’s team includes former members of Mountain and Lowland Rescue teams, specialists in “man-trailing,” and retired police dog handlers. They also have a qualified Mountain Rescue Casualty Carer and former members of Cornwall Search and Rescue, bringing extensive expertise in search techniques, dog training, and casualty care.

Cornwall Search Dogs operates entirely on charitable donations, relying on public support to continue its vital work.
